SPRING OF 2023

June 6, 2023

Last year’s spring blog in 2022 was titled “Hello Spring”.   This year there is a sign making the rounds on facebook saying, “Spring keeps arriving, but then it storms out!”  One day is sunny and sixty degrees and the next day is in the thirties or forties with flurries of snow.  The farmers are behind in getting the fertilizer spread and dirt prepared for planting the crops.

As we are waiting for the soil to dry out in our garden so we can rototill it, the thought comes that there will not be time for our plants to mature so we can harvest the produce.  When buying garden seed, checking out the maturity days is important for we live in an area with a shorter growing season.

While the worry is there, another thought comes to overtake the worry.  That thought is very powerful and comforting.  It is as follows:

While the earth remains,
Seedtime and harvest,
and cold and heat,
And winter and summer,
and day and night shall not cease.

Genesis 8:22 NKJV

It is a wonderful thing when truth is revealed and peace comes to as we wait to perform the spring sowing process.
